Cue the Romance: Bridgerton Inspired Wedding Editorial

The Setting

The delectable combination of history, drama and romance of Bridgerton inspired one of our very own editorials. As a luxury wedding florist based in Somerset, we are lucky enough to work with a host of wonderfully talented wedding suppliers in the area.

The shoot was hosted at Parish’s House in Bath during spring. This intimate wedding venue is perfect for couples who are looking to get married in the South West. We wanted it to encompass a luxurious and effortlessly opulent feel. The soft pastel colour palette worked beautifully alongside blousy blooms and statement arrangements.

The Style

Charlotte Wise Photography documented every possible detail imaginable. Her photography style is renowned as ‘fine art’, offering a light and airy vibe that is as modern as it is timeless. The couple portraits were a key part of our editorial, with Charlotte gracefully capturing our models in the most jaw-droppingly beautiful backdrops. We used garden roses, peonies, hydrangeas, delphiniums, stocks, allium and eucalyptus to create a dreamy, pastel colour palette.

The Fashion

Our bride wore a Bowen Dryden gown, styled with exquisite accessories by Abigail Grace Bridal Accessories and a pair of Emmy London heels. Aristocracy London provided a charming suit for our groom to wear, focusing on pale blue hues and striking embroidery. It is often the smaller details that take the most consideration during the wedding planning process. Whether it is an heirloom that has been kindly gifted throughout generations, or a garter that holds plenty of meaning. We wanted the shoot to showcase the importance of capturing these details on camera, and how you can complement the flat-lays with flower details.

The Florals

The floral elements of our Bridgerton-inspired editorial really are dreamy. We endeavoured to immerse our couples in the enchantment of pastel hues and soft foliage. We created a statement open arch design to adorn the doors of the entrance at Parish’s House. It offered just the right amount of structure while creating a relaxed, romantic vibe with overflowing greenery. As a Wedding Florist in Somerset, I have found that our couples love to make the most of their floral design and use floral archways as a backdrop for their wedding photographs. We filled grand oversized urns with accompanying flowers and foliage, which are also a fabulous choice for your ceremony styling. They can also be reused and moved to your reception afterwards. Why not use them near your top table, or to the entrance of a marquee?

The Tablescape

Flowers filled footed bowls and bud vases along the tablescapes, creating an elegant style that was complemented with meadow arrangements at the end of each table. Again, this type of arrangement can be used in various ways throughout your wedding, beginning with your ceremony and being re-styled through different parts of your day. With styling expertise from The Little Wedding Helper, we thoughtfully designed the place settings to ensure they were Bridgerton-worthy. A calligraphy escort card was provided by Hunter Gatherings, a delicate ribbon by Cfleurs Designs and a singular Flourish and Grace petal.

From the magnificent wedding cake to the outfits, everything about this shoot shows how anything is possible if you want it for your wedding day. Even if you’ve only seen it on your TV screen before! By bringing your ideas to your florist and suppliers, we can work creatively to bring your vision to life.
