Luxury Country House Wedding Flowers in Somerset

There is something timeless about a summer wedding in the English countryside. Historic architecture, beautiful gardens and elegant interiors create a wonderful setting for abundant floral design.

For this Somerset celebration, we created luxury country house wedding flowers in a classic palette of soft white and ivory, complemented by seasonal greenery. From the bridal bouquet to a statement ceremony installation and flower-filled reception, the florals were designed to feel romantic, elegant and naturally at home within the surroundings.

Henrietta and Phil celebrated at Brympton House, a historic country house in Somerset. Flowers were an important part of their vision from the beginning. Therefore, we created a cohesive floral story that flowed throughout the day while complementing the character of the setting.

Timeless White and Green Wedding Flowers

A soft palette of white, ivory and green gave the wedding an elegant and timeless feel.

The bridal bouquet was designed with an abundant but refined shape, combining delicate white flowers with soft foliage and trailing ribbon. Meanwhile, coordinating bouquets for the bridal party brought the floral palette together beautifully.

We used garden roses, stocks, sweet peas, hydrangeas and delphiniums throughout the designs. Layers of foliage added texture and movement, creating arrangements that felt natural rather than overly structured.

The result was a classic palette with plenty of depth and detail.

An Abundant Floral Ceremony

The ceremony took place in the historic chapel, where we created one of the main floral moments of the wedding.

A large asymmetrical floral installation framed the ceremony space. Abundant white flowers and seasonal greenery created height and movement, while allowing the architecture behind it to remain visible.

Flowers continued throughout the chapel to create a more immersive experience. Pew-end posies lined the aisle, while floral arrangements decorated the registrar table. We also added trailing foliage, flowers and candlelight around the windows.

Together, these details transformed the room without competing with its historic character.

Rather than treating each arrangement individually, we designed the ceremony flowers as one complete setting. This created a sense of abundance as guests entered the space and drew attention towards the couple at the end of the aisle.

Repurposing Statement Wedding Flowers

Whenever possible, we consider how larger floral installations can be enjoyed beyond the ceremony.

After the vows, elements of the ceremony flowers were moved into the reception. This allowed the statement designs to become part of another important moment in the day.

Repurposing flowers can be particularly effective for larger weddings. However, it needs to be considered during the design process. The scale, construction and timings all influence whether an installation can be moved successfully.

For this wedding, the floral designs transitioned beautifully from ceremony to reception and helped create a consistent look throughout the celebration.

Elegant Country House Wedding Reception Flowers

Following the ceremony, guests gathered on the terrace before moving inside for the wedding breakfast.

For the reception, we continued the white and green floral palette. The tables were filled with delicate bud vases and flowers, creating detail throughout the room without overwhelming the place settings.

Candlelight added warmth and created a softer atmosphere as the celebrations continued into the evening.

We also created a larger arrangement in a footed bowl behind the top table. This gave the room another floral focal point and provided a beautiful backdrop for the speeches.

By combining statement arrangements with smaller floral details, the reception felt abundant while still retaining an elegant and considered finish.

Afterwards Henni & Phil took a few precious moments for couple portraits in the grounds, soaking up the summer evening sunshine together. Their joy just radiates through these gorgeous captures!
